It all starts here

Last week I was made redundant, which was completely unexpected. Unfortunately I am not going to get very much money so I’m going to have to move pretty quickly to find something else.

I’ve spent the last 11 years working in the internet industry, mainly helping people with web businesses. But I’ve never actually ran my own website which is something I’ve wanted to do for sometime. So that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to start a community website for people in the swingers lifestyle and build it up to 1 million members within a year.

Why swingers? Well a mix of reasons. First, it’s something I know something about; secondly, I think it’s a community that’s pretty badly served by the websites that are out there just now; and finally there is a lot of demand with about 5 million searches a month for “swinging” on the search engines.

I’ve got roughy £300 / $500 in total to spend on this project so it is going to be tough competing with the much larger companies out there but I’m pretty sure I’ll do it.

This blog is going to be the story of how I build a home-based business up to the stage where I can make a living out of it. Or it might be a porn version of Grapes of Wrath documenting a downward spiral of failure and disaster. But let’s look on the bright side!
